Undated B&W photo (8"x10") that depicts ‘Little Boy’ atomic
bomb and Hiroshima destruction, boldly signed in blue ink by
5 crew members including Ferebee (bombardier), Tibbets
(pilot), Van Kirk (navigator), Jeppson (test officer) and Nelson
(radio). Excellent condition.
Color glossy photo (8"x10") signed by Enola Gay navigator
Dutch Van Kirk with a lengthy inscription which reads in part,
‘The city was essentially destroyed, but millions of lives, both
Japanese and allied were saved. WWII soon ended and the
killing stopped’. Excellent condition. R&R COA.

Rare early handwritten letter signed by General Anthony
McAuliffe, two full pages, 8"x10½”, dated Washington, D.C.,
May 27, 1947. With original envelope postmarked Washington,
D.C., addressed by McAuliffe to Gen. Rex Chandler in San
Antonio, also signed ‘McAuliffe’ at upper left above printed
return address. On letterhead of The Joint Research and
Development Board, letter discusses Chandler’s retirement
rank, since he had been demoted earlier, and mentions a similar
case under review by Eisenhower. (University Archives LOA).

Jeppson and Nelson. Excellent condition.

A B&W photo (4½”x6½”) signe d by George Marshall along
with a related TLS on personal letterhead in which he returns
the photo with his signature. Photo bears staple holes in upper
right, and back bears scrapbook remains, else fine. Two
signatures from the US Army Chief of Staff during WWII.
