PH $200-300 Two Westerbork transit camp script notes for 50 & 100 cents, dated 1944 with black serial numbers. Typical soiling and folds, fine. Westerbork was a Nazi refugee, detention and transit camp in northeastern Netherlands, handling Roma and Dutch Jews before sending them on to concentration camps. PH $200-300 Cigarette case (3x4½”) from German concentration camp Sachsenhausen with ‘Arbeit Macht Frei’ (work makes you free) engraved on cover as well as an intricate depiction of the camp. Used condition. 587 1941 GERMAN SS CIGARETTE CASE FROM SACHSENHAUSEN KZ ........................................ PH $200-300 Cigarette case (3¼x5¾”) from the German concentration camp Sachsenhausen with owner’s initials on lid ‘AT’. Inside cover engraved ‘SS-T.-Wachbtl.Sachsenhausen 1941’. Operates well and looks to have been cleaned in the past. T H E R E S I E N S TA D T 588 D 1945 UNUSUAL THERESEINSTADT KZ DOCUMENTS ....................................................... PH $200-300 Three documents (5x8") pertaining to former female Theresienstadt concentration camp inmate, Ada Kleinova. Two written in Czech and one written half in Russian. Many inmates were staying in the camp after liberation as they were too sick or simply had nowhere to go. The Russian document allows her to leave Theresienstadt camp July 23, 1945, and return not later than July 31, 1945. Likely the Czech documents are similar. D 1928 BEN-GURION’S HISTADRUT MEMBERSHIP BOOK ................................................................ PH $3500-5000 David Ben-Gurion’s Histadrut Membership Register, 64 page booklet(3¼x4½”). Dated 1 Tevet 5689 (December 14, 1928), first page filled in, not by Ben-Gurion, using Hebrew block letters, not script, giving his age (42), name of father (Avigdor) and mother (Scheindel), profession (journalist), association (office worker), entered Histadrut (since day of founding). Member Register No. 3. Stamped signature of a Histadrut official on first page; on back is small photograph (not original to document) and Ben-Gurion’s handstamped signature. Fine condition.
