Five silver Kiddush cups, three stamped with ‘84’ and a maker’s
mark – one has a personalized engraving. Sizes range from
2½” to 4" and weights from 1.4oz to 1.9oz. ALSO silver
engraved gift cup (3½”). Very fine condition.

1990s US ARMY JEWISH CHAPLAIN’S FLAG

Large Chaplain’s Flag (5½x4¼”) with the Star of David and
the tablets in excellent condition. These flags are used in the
field to mark the location where ‘divine services’ are to be
conducted.

1909 SHALOM ALEICHEM SIGNED LETTER

Autograph Letter Signed ‘Shalom Aleichem’ in Yiddish, not
translated, signed at top ‘S. Rabinowitz’ in English, one page,
5¼x8½”. On Regina Hotel/Lugano stationery, noted by the
author to be in ‘Italian Switzerland.’ In this letter, Shalom
Aleichem, pen name of Solomon Rabinowitz, writes that he
has to go to Italy again due to his illness. He also writes that
his wife is leaving for Russia and hopes to meet after Passover.
Two file holes at top edge, otherwise very fine condition.

Archive of 6 letters from the world renowned Jewish
philosopher Martin Buber, and one from Hebrew University
founder Judah L. Magnes to Buber. All in German, includes
three typewritten letters, one signed Dr. Martin Buber, others
simply Buber, one with original envelope mailed from him to
Vienna in 1919, one handwritten note signed Martin Buber,
two postcards with handwritten notes and signed Buber.
Additional typewritten postcard to The Hague signed Buber;
these all dated 1915-19. Lastly a 1935 two page handwritten
letter to Buber on Hebrew University stationery from Judah
Magnes. Some file folds and tears, fine condition. Content all
regard his work at various schools, lectures and writings (more
detail included on University Archives LOA).
