PRO: PUBLIC RELATIONS O FFICER REPORT
Working with other charity organisations
provides invaluable insight,
- “the challenges are similar to ours!”
Namaste and Jai Shree Krishna
Time seems to fly by at breakneck
speed during certain phases of your
life – this has been one such year for
me. My duties have been sparse and
limited, to capturing some momentous
events in our calendar. Please find
below links to pictures captured at key
events: the workings of other comparable
charities. Their challenges are often
very similar to ours, i.e. lack of
participation, apathy, funding and
resources.

founder of the Ford Motor Company.

I serve on the board of two other
charity organisations and it helps
to provide an invaluable insight into
“If you always do what you’ve
always done, you’ll always get what
you’ve always got.”
However, what sets them apart is
the manner in which the challenges
are faced. Egotism is not allowed to
fester – the so called trustees who
hold onto their positions with defiant
grip is challenged – fresh blood is
welcomed – fresh ideas and novel
ways of accomplishing the charity
objectives are explored. The process of
re-invention and re-birth is critical.
I have seen the positive changes in
some of our Associations and hope the
others will follow suit. New initiatives
attract greater support and increased
faith in a serving committee – what
are you going to do this year that is
different? And give our youth a chance.
“Any society that does not succeed in
tapping into the energy and creativity
of its youth will be left behind.” Kofi
Annan.
Wishing you all a Happy Diwali and
Nutan Varsha na Abhinandan.
