Bathrobe attire

I recently stayed at an inn and spa to celebrate my birthday. It was such a nice two-day holiday. It was a great reprieve from life just to sit, shop, spa and relax.
The second morning of the trip I woke a little early and was looking for a hot cup of tea before breakfast. So still in my PJ’s I put on the luxurious bathrobe and my shoes. I left hubby still sleeping as I quietly unlocked our door and slid out of the room in search of tea.
I was on the third floor so descending quietly and trying to be inconspicuous, I came to the second floor landing… I saw two ladies nicely dressed and I mean dressed… the nine yards so I smiled and tugged on the front of my robe and said “Wow you look nice so early in the morning.”
They both smiled and one said “We are heading to a wedding.” Ah, thank goodness I thought or I am way underdressed for 8:30 am. So I made it to the first floor
of the gorgeous mansion I was staying at and was looking for a staff member to help me. OH yes there were the husbands of the two ladies dressed in suits…. Geez ever wish you were invisible? This was definitely was one of those moments. Oh yes here came the staff and I told them I was in search of tea and a coffee to take upstairs. I then apologized for my robe and looked around and said "I guess I should have gotten dressed." She said, “Absolutely not, we want you to be comfortable and robes are most welcome…. anytime.” Then I almost laughed out loud she said,” Would you like a tea in the living room before you head upstairs?" Grinning I replied, “Next time.”
