She created a business plan and wanted to produce great products that were good for the skin. Her husband Warren became her business partner and developed the look, including the website. Production started and Yummy Skin was born! Six months later Yummy Skin was introduced to Canada on the Shopping Channel in 2008. The consumer response was tremendous. However, Amy still wanted to supply to spas directly and that became her focus.

Today there are two lines offered; the first being the original Yummy Skin Classic. It is 96% natural and is scented with fragrance. The second line was created with spas in mind and is simply called Yummy Skin. It is fragranced with essential oil blends making it completely 100% natural. Both lines include hand and body lotions, sugar scrubs, body butter, and a moisturizing body mist that is popular for spring and summer. As well there are bath and foot soaks with grapefruit and tea tree oil, and lip conditioners. The entire line is based on nourishment for the skin.

Two years ago Yummy Skin was approached by Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) to add their products to the swag bags given out to celebrities and the media. They met many Canadian celebrities and there are pictures on the website depicting that monumental occasion.

Amy is busy again and has future visions of providing women new, great products and experiences. She wants women to recognize her brand and rely on it. “I love being creative and can’t get enough of it” she says.

at the age of 32. Her career was in investigations. Initially she was in private investigations, then moved on to managing loss prevention departments in the retail sector. Needless to say, she had a very stressful job and was a mother that juggled a young family. Amy will be the first to tell you she relied on spas for much needed relaxation. A naturopathic doctor encouraged stress relief through spas, but also cautioned Amy to read the ingredients in the lotions and skincare she used. Amy can never sit still and while she was on leave she started researching the skincare industry, analyzing ingredients and products.
