“When we opened we wanted to offer unique treatments not found elsewhere, and we were the first spa in Canada to bring the Steam Therapy treatments.”
Well that is exactly the treatment I had when I visited Novo Spa. Esthetician Supervisor Charlotte performed my treatment for me. I was led to my treatment room and it started with a scrub treatment to remove seasonal dry skin.
A mud was then applied all over front and back. It turns out my spa bed is a special steam table and Charlotte then turned the table on to steam and put a ‘tent’ like cabine over me. As I lay there ‘steaming’ and letting the mud do its magic I received the most relaxing, decadent head massage you could ever imagine for at least 15 minutes! It made me drift off to la-la-land.
Once the steam portion finished I was invited to shower off in a warm shower while Charlotte got the bed transformed for my ending massage. Ahhh is the only word to describe it all and the ending.
It was one of those moments when I wish I could have laid there for the afternoon.
The spa also offers a lunch menu and I enjoyed a wonderful chicken salad and of course some great tea from their tea bar.
At Novo Spa the treatment menu is diverse and has a variety of services ranging from facials, body scrubs, steams, manicures, pedicures, teen treatments, and men’s and couples packages. Can’t wait till next time, and it will be sooner than later!
