At last week’s Lloyd Town Board
meeting, Police Chief Daniel Waage
recognized two of his officers and a
civilian for saving the life of John Attard,
owner of 3 Guys Pizza.
On July 8 at approximately 8 p.m.
Lloyd Police Officer Johnathan Lembo
was off duty and sitting down to dinner
with his girlfriend Danielle Zaccheo at
their residence in the hamlet. A knock on
the door alerted them that Attard, “was
dead on the sidewalk.” Both Lembo and
Zaccheo ran to the location to provide
aid to the heart attack victim, “who they
found laying lifeless on the ground.” The
two immediately began administering
CPR and moments later Officer Nicholas
Paradies arrived on the scene with an
AED machine that Officer Lembo and
Zaccheo hooked up to Attard. A shock
was then administered.
