great and every unit is taken.” He pointed out that the project conforms to the
Master Plan philosophy of having development near the hamlet area. He said the
Mountainside Woods project was done
properly and is a 162 single-family home
development, with the first phase of 55
homes and a projected build-out over 20
years.
“I think there was a lot of time and
effort put in to make sure it was done
right,” he said.
Hansut voted for the zoning changes for
the proposed 428-acre Wine Village project at the end of Blue Point Road, calling
it an “economic train” not only for Lloyd,
but for the surrounding area. He said the
project will start with the light industrial
portion, move on to the hotel/conference
center and then start with 155 housing
units of an eventual 800 units, all over a
20-year period.
Hansut said almost every storefront in
the hamlet is occupied or is in the process
of being rented. He has purchased the

allotted $340,000 in low-interest loans for
upgrades and equipment for businesses
within the hamlet.
“It’s a variety of different uses for that
money but every one of them has helped
keep them in business and functioning,”
Hansut said.
Hansut said the town has followed all
local and state laws concerning notifications and public hearings on recent development projects. He said he is willing to
revisit the requirements of the Planned
Residential Development zoning designation, especially on setback requirements.
