Anchored in Recovery: More than a Program— A New Beginning
Submitted by Dr. Stephanie M. Raglin, LCADC, CCS Director of Substance Abuse Services The Adanta Group
Recovery is about more than overcoming substance use, it is about reclaiming your life and building a future filled with purpose and possibility.
Across Kentucky and throughout the nation, individuals, families, and communities continue to feel the effects of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. For many, addiction is intertwined with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and other challenges that can make change seem out of reach. Too often, people begin to believe that their mistakes or circumstances define them.
At Anchored in Recovery( aka AIR), we believe recovery is possible for everyone. We believe every person has value, purpose, and the ability to create a different future.
Located in Jamestown, Kentucky, Anchored in Recovery is a men ' s residential treatment program serving adults age 18 and older through ASAM Level 3.1 and 3.5 residential services. The program’ s mission is to provide a safe, structured environment where individuals can address substance use and mental health challenges while developing the skills needed for long-term recovery. With a capacity of 16 residents, Anchored in Recovery offers a more personal approach than many larger treatment programs. The size allows staff to get to know each resident as an individual, ensuring that no one feels like just another number and that everyone receives the attention and support they deserve.
Every resident enters the program with a unique story. Some have struggled with addiction for years, while others seek help after experiencing legal issues, family conflict, employment difficulties, or significant personal loss. Although their journeys differ, they share a common goal: the desire for a healthier, more fulfilling life.
AIR’ s 28-day residential program provides a strong foundation for recovery through evidence-based treatment that addresses the physical, emotional, mental, and social aspects of addiction. Residents participate in a structured day that includes participating in individual counseling, group therapy, psychoeducational sessions, relapse prevention planning, recovery skills training, and life skills development. Residents also have access to a prescriber for medical consultation and medications for opioid use disorders.
