HATHA YOGA
is one of India's oldest traditions, linking the postures together into sequence of movements that flow with breath.The postures are also designed to open the many channels of the body especially the main channel the spine so that energy can flow freely.
VINYASA YOGA
moves steadily from pose to pose in sequences of movements synchronized with pranayama (breath) integrating rhythmical breathing with conscious movement. You will increase strength and flexibility by uniting body and breath. Vinyasa Flow emphasis alignment principles energetic actions with poses.
Mary Ann Morgan-Fried, E-RYT 500 is a certified yoga instructor who has studied many different styles of yoga including Anusara, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin. Mary Ann teaches Vinyasa classes with an emphasis on core strength through dynamic and innovative sequences. Her classes include sun salutations, standing, seated postures, as well as arm balances and inversions. Her patience and focus enables the students to integrate various aspects of practice through the universal principles of alignment, focused pranayama (breathing) and to inspire them to connect to what's important to them on and off the mat. MaryAnn also teaches hatha, yin and meditation classes. In addition to teaching group and private classes, Mary Ann lectures to both corporate and general audiences regarding the rich benefits of yoga. She also teaches workshops and conducts yoga retreats annually.
