This business and community directory was produced by the South
Chicago Chamber of Commerce as a service to the South Chicago
community and Chamber members. Special Service Area #5
provided the funding for the production of the directory.

This valuable resource includes categorized lists of all businesses
and organizations in SSA #5, and all businesses and organizations
that are members of the Chamber of Commerce. The directory also
contains a color map of the South Chicago Business District that
displays the locations of all Chamber member businesses. As an
additional bonus, the second part of the directory includes a list of
social service agencies in the wider South Chicago area. Throughout
the directory, Chamber members are denoted with an asterisk and
their full entries are in bold.
The South Chicago Chamber, which has been a part of the
neighborhood for 89 years, works to promote member businesses
and organizations and the South Chicago community. The Chamber
supports local businesses and strengthens the neighborhood as a
business environment, and is a vehicle through which businesses
support neighborhood organizations.

Becoming a Chamber member provides local businesses with many
worthwhile benefits. The Chamber refers business to its members
and promotes them through email, website, social media and
other means. The Chamber’s services also include troubleshooting
neighborhood issues that affect businesses and organizations as well

Special Service Areas are local tax districts that fund expanded
services and programs through a localized property tax. The
enhanced services and programs are in addition to those currently
