SUMMER 2019 arT arT, DraMa Walls: Street Art Project Summer Youth Art Project: ‘The Eagle Has Landed’ Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 June Graffiti Artist Cormac Cullinan comes back to mentor a group working on a series of murals in the underground car park at The Source. It’s been a three year masterpiece in progress and Cormac says he’s learned as much from the group as they from him. But there’s still a bunch of bare walls to complete. If you think you have what it takes to be a wall muralist or are looking for a big space to create your own tags or images, then this is the place for you. Just bring your own lunch and your imagination. ageS 13-18 yearS 10 aM to 4 PM eaCH Day PriCe: €90 – SiBling raTeS availaBle Monday 01 to Saturday 06 July This year’s Summer Youth Project mission is to use to the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landings for inspiration. Utilising the open glassfront of The Source building as a canvas, the group will create large images identifying what has struck them most about the moon landing and what it means to society and the world since the it happened. It might be images of the astronauts themselves, a moonscape of sorts or maybe a whole new world. We’ll let the participants interpret the theme, themselves. The second part of the project will be a short performance piece based on the moon landing; participants will write the script, create the set and will perform the piece on the final day. ageS 13-18 yearS 10 aM to 5 PM eaCH Day PriCe: €100 – SiBling raTeS availaBle www.thesourceartscentre.ie Box Office: 0504 90204 17
