An exhibition by
John Keating Hermitage Green
Until Friday 18 January
Regarded as one of Ireland’s best figurative
painters, John Keating was born in Tipperary
and studied at Crawford College of Art, Cork,
Trinity College Dublin, Loughborough
University and the Arts Students League of
New York, which he attended as a Fulbright
scholar. Keating has exhibited nationally and
internationally including exhibitions in the
U.S.A., Italy, Spain, Greece, Monaco and
China. His work is included in private and
public collections in Ireland, the U.S.A.,
Australia, Italy, Greece and England. Keating
has guest lectured and tutored on the
drawing studies course at the National
Gallery of Ireland, National College of Art and
Design, Dublin Institute of Technology and at
the University of Pittsburgh, U.S.A.

Hailing from Limerick, Hermitage Green have
made a huge impact in a short period of
time. After releasing their first full length
album via SONY Ireland and watching it climb
the charts with tracks like ‘Quicksand’, ‘Not
Your Lover’, and ‘Save Your Soul’, the band
has been touring internationally to sold out
rooms across Ireland, the UK, Middle East,
Australia and the US. Now the band is back
after having spent months in world
renowned Rockfield Studios in Wales where
their new recordings share company with the
likes of Queen and Robert Plant. With
Grammy winning producer Matt Lawrence
(Adele, Amy Winehouse, Mumford & Sons) at
the helm of this record, the band has created
an EP entitled Gold & Rust consisting of six
progressive sonic masterpieces.
2018 saw the band continuing to tour the
globe finishing with a winter tour in Ireland
and this date at The Source.
