Spring 2019 DANCE FILM Papa Zitas – Live Bergman: A Year In The Life aka Bergman - ett år, ett liv Friday 05 & Saturday 06 April The Papa Zitas are Ireland’s definitive Motown Big Band experience. This 10 piece outfit delivers incredible performances of all the 1960’s Detroit and Pilly classics we all know and love. Think Marvin, Diana, the Ronnettes, the Shirelles and we are generally in the ballpark where this band love to play. Headed by three amazing vocalists (The Mama Zitas!) and joined by an exuberant brass section and thundering rhythm section, this homage to 60s music is to dance for! The Papa Zitas are charged with dancefloor hits guaranteed to get the party started. Over two nights at The Source The Papa Zitas will perform a sit down theatre show with all classic and retro Motown songs and the second night will be a standing gig for the dancing crowd. tiMe: 8pM SeAted cOncert: fridAy 05 April price: €15 StAnding cOncert: SAturdAy 06 April price: €12 24 The Source Arts Centre Wednesday 10 April 1957 was a pivotal year for acclaimed Swedish film director Ingmar Bergman. He released two of his most acclaimed features (‘The Seventh Seal’ and ‘Wild Strawberries’), made a TV film and directed four plays for theatre. At the same time, the 39-year-old Bergman was carrying on relationships with four women, one of whom was actress Bibi Andersson and one of whom was his wife. Magnusson has amassed a wealth of archive and contemporary interviews, along with a fantastic selection of clips from his vast body of work in a revealing analytical portrait of a master film-maker. dir.
