Dir. Julien Rappeneau, France, 2016, 97 min
Julien Rappeneau ' s enchanting directorial debut is a witty and ingeniously crafted comedy about a random encounter that has unexpected and lifechanging consequences. Vincent( Kyan Khojandi) is a balding barber, who still lives with his eccentric mother. However, an unexpected event sets him off pursuing the mysterious fortysomething owner of a provincial corner shop – the Rosalie of the title. This is a quirky, cockles-warming adaptation of the eponymous graphic-novel by French artist Camille Jourdy.

Friends and bandmates since school days, Wyvern Lingo share a gift for close harmony, keen songcraft and effervescent live performance. Drawing on a diverse range of influences from pop, rock and R’ n’ B, their voices interweave to create a fresh, forward-looking sound. A self-released EP caught the ear of Irish label Rubyworks, and the band toured with Hozier in the UK and at home. Wyvern Lingo’ s debut release for Rubyworks was a four-track EP called‘ Letter To Willow’.
Their most recent release‘ Out Of My Hands’ is their most candid, politicized song to date and comes smoking hot on the trail of the stereotype challenging radio smash‘ I Love You, Sadie’, as Wyvern Lingo once again show themselves to be the sharp social commentators that you can get down and dance to.
