Route 66 – Big Band

Following their sell-out show last year, Route 66
come back to The Source with their sixteen
piece Big Band.
Big Band music has had a whole new lease of
life in Ireland and across the world over the
past number of years with a burgeoning
interest in swing and other forms of classic
dance music. It’s not unusual to see people
dressed in period attire, ready for a night of
high quality big sounds.
Route 66 tap directly into this vein with the
dynamic power of a big band sound and a
bunch of fabulous singers.
The show takes audiences on a magical journey
that stretches from the 1940’s right up to date
with much-loved numbers by Count Basie,
Frank Sinatra, Glen Miller, Tom Jones, Adele, Joe
Dolan, Tina Turner, Van Morrison, Ella Fitzgerald
and many more. The line –up consists of 6
brass, 4 saxes and a four piece rhythm section
fronted by a male and female singer.
This band has been getting standing ovations at
all of their shows, so early booking is advised!
