followed by two minutes of shredding sweeps by Jacky Vincent, lead guitarist. This is led of by a Guitar solo, bass solo, and drum solo. Other than that, I would say once you’ve heard one metal song, you’ve heard them all, on this album. Every song starts out with screaming that sounds vaguely similar to the other songs, and I honestly couldn’t tell you which song was which. And the way some songs have been laid out. Mixing screaming about sex mixed with occasional dubstep and rapping. I’ve realized that some things do not need to be put together. Like Ronnie Radke‘s voice in “Drifter.” This song uses a standard bluegrass beat and has Ronnie singing country style, which is completely different from the Westerner from Dying is Your Latest Fashion. “Game Over” is another song that sounds like the exact same bubble gum BOTDF we’ve heard before, but with lyrics like “My life is like a video game, trying hard to beat the stage. All while I am still collecting coins.” Then quoting the contra code, which I would say is oddly the smartest thing he did in this album, unless he googled that as well.
All in all, the lyrics sound like they were written by a sixth grader, just after hitting puberty. For everyone that isn’t Ronnie, the album work was really good. Those members put a lot into it. But then Ronnie Radke came along and rapped, pretty badly, and gave himself the spotlight. The screaming by him is annoying and repetitive, and his singing is all over the place. He rapped pretty well, but the way he uses his words is atrocious. It’s like saying “swaggur” instead of “swagguh”. Summing everything up, Ronnie Radke sounds like a cocky sex-driven version of Bret Michaels shouting random lyrics at random times. The songs that aren’t metal core sound like they belong in a teenage party slideshow. If Falling In Reverse wants to continue their career, they need to make some actual music, or get rid of their central figure, cause this album is a huge disappointment.
