Conclusion
Technology , such as TikTok , has blurred the line between the amateur and the professional through compressing intricate skills into intuitive applications that allow individuals to replicate professional techniques to a high standard with minimal knowledge , equipment , or experience . Alongside this , the internet has provided a space for amateur work to gain critical and widespread value and recognition , further dismantling distinctions between the professional and the amateur as power dynamics shift . Essentially technology has propelled the amateur much further along the amateurprofessional spectrum , and as skillsets converge , they become more challenging to differentiate .
