From 00:08:20 - 00:08:30 , in the dispute between Mr Vernon and Harry , ponderous and strong voices are mixed with background sounds with a tone like a bassoon and both can be heard clearly . When the huge body of Mr Vernon approaches Harry fiercely and is about to scold him , the heavy and dull noise of the bassoon suddenly sounds . The tone of the background music is analogous to Uncle Vernon ’ s heavy body . The short but symbolic music not only shapes Vernon ’ s appearance within the picture but also embodies his bullying character .
