For ENGL383 , final-year student YUGE LI delves into the persona of everybody ’ s favourite half-giant , Hagrid , in The Philosopher ’ s Stone . The piece has a considerate , somewhat solemn tone , perhaps reflecting the end of Yuge ’ s time here in Liverpool ; the city he described to us as diverse and dynamic , at times peaceful and healing , though not without its own underlining conflicts and struggles .
