The University of Portsmouth , based in a community long challenged by economic stresses , has established a specialist research centre to find new ways to prevent rising poverty while also finding the trillions of dollars needed globally to address climate change equitably .
The University ’ s new Centre for Innovative and Sustainable Finance ( CISF ) is putting some serious research effort into preventing the broad push for economic and environmental sustainability from widening the gap between the affluent and the poor .
