What can you do on these seasonally high
days of attendance? The possibilities are
endless:
• Have a special emphasis on inviting
people.
• Announce recognition of people, like
moms on Mother’s Day.
• Place paid ads on Facebook for the
special days.
• Ask your members to have yard signs
pointing to the special day.
• Make certain the home page of the
church’s website focuses on the special
day. Remember the website is more for
guests than members.
Scrappy churches will find ways to make
the special day a truly inviting, gospel-
centered, outwardly focused day. They
will find ways to get it done rather than
offering excuses. Yes, scrappy churches
will have a deluge of outwardly focused
ministries. Some will be sustained and
ongoing ministries. Some will be more
seasonal in nature. Finally, some will be
created by the church itself as a special
emphasis.
