that energy down paths that are right for us and others, we can travel many miles and achieve so much. That’s what wisdom is: using our experience, skills, knowledge, and instinct to make smart decisions about what to do and say and follow every day. When we get those decisions right, our lives reflect that, and we produce much harvest. Thankfully the Bible is full of wisdom, even for strong-willed hotheads. It shows us how to focus and direct our passions and how to take the very best type of risks. And above all, it always points us the way home to Christ and to love. the Spirit that instills knowledge and Fear-of-God. (Isaiah 11:2, MSG) The greatest wisdom we can have starts with fear of the Lord: respect for the Almighty and His truths. Because if we truly fear God (in that biblical sense of holy respect), we need fear nothing and no one else. Oh, and don’t try to cross harbors at low tide when you know it is stupid!
