its validity. (Hebrews 11:1) My faith is a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by
result of my encounter with God.
the wind.”
Trust is different because it requires
something more, something deeper.
Trust requires relationship. It is the
complete reliance and confidence
in something or someone based on
personal experience. To go somewhere
or to do something WITHOUT fear of
consequences.
At the intersection of FAITH and
TRUST, is where peace resides. This
is the moment where fear has to take
a back seat to make room for peace.
Psalm 56:3 (NIV), tells us, “when I am
AFRAID, I put my TRUST in you.” Peace
cannot be found in reliance on yourself,
your job, your doctor, your position or
title. Peace can only be found in total
surrender and trust in God.
God was asking us (Pat & Karen) NOT
to focus on the storm. He was asking
us to keep our eyes on Him and TRUST
HIM to get us to the place of safety that
we might not be able to see with my
own eyes. Courage is always birthed in
the darkness! Our moments in private
with God is where our strength in trials
comes from. He was asking, “WILL YOU
CONTEND UNTIL . . . ?”
There comes a point when your faith
goes to another level and you rise
up and declare that you will see the
deliverance, the freedom, the healing,
and the restoration you are asking for,
no matter how long the war for that
miracle takes in the heavenlies. God
wants to know, Will you contend until

ask, you must believe and not doubt,
because the one who doubts is like a

Our faith, security, and hope cannot
be dependent upon our emotions. If
we walk according to our emotions,
then we will be tossed back and forth
and live a double-minded life. Our
faith should be steadfast even when
our circumstances seem unstable
or shaken. It is about the until. I will
believe until I see the salvation of my
loved ones! I will believe until I see the
healing miracle, until my finances are
healed, until my children come home
again! I will believe until fear is broken
off my life! I will believe, not just for
a day or a week or a month, and not
just until I get tired of believing. I will
believe until I see it! I will be persistent
in my pursuit, persistent in my appeal,
persistent in my approach to the King,
and persistent in my faith!
Proverbs 28:1 says, “The wicked run
away when no one is chasing them,
but the godly are as bold as lions” (nlt).
Did you hear that? We are called to be
bold as lions! You and I are called to
roar! Regardless of how exhausted and
weary we become, we must seek the
Lord once again. We must once again
take our rightful place of authority. And
