Balcón repaving
Nerja has asked the regional government to subsidise a project which will see the replacement of 1,500 square metres of paving slabs on the Balcón de Europa . International Club
Our new second half season will start again on 3rd September . We will be open Tuesdays , Thursdays and Saturdays 11am to 2pm and every Monday evening 7.30pm to close for our games and social night so come and join us for darts or any of the other games including cards that are available . Our Cava is one of the cheapest in town at € 1.20 a glass .
We have been busy planning many events and trips for the next six months , including a regular trip to Gibraltar on the second Wednesday of every month and a monthly tapas tour and quiz night . We hope to start a craft / hobbies club on Monday afternoons . professionals who have distinguished themselves by producing , offering and serving quality Spanish food and who have contributed to the development of the food sector in a sustainable and efficient manner . The Ministry said that Francisco Ortega Olalla “ Ayo ”, now 83 , opened his bar and restaurant 54 years ago and is an example of dedication and commitment to his environment .

There will be talks by our excellent guide Carmen during the coming months . Subjects will include the Spanish Civil war , Picasso , Andalusian culture and Flamenco . We are planning a guided trip to Ubeda in October . In November we will be having an art talk and demo by a local artist . We will also have trips to Caminito del Rey and Trapiche Christmas market . December events include a visit to the Malaga Christmas lights . A Christmas Dinner dance to be held at Hotel Nerja Club , and our monthly quiz will have a Christmas theme . There will be a New Year Eve Party at the club on 31st December for members .
