Welcome to Sofrito Magazine. We are
dedicated to finding recipes and Latin
Chefs in New York City and around the
globe. Our mission statement is to bring
forth the growing knowledge of Latin cuisine and the flair and flavors included in
the culture.
We will highlight on a seasonal basis the
different types of cuisine from Cuba,
Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico,
South America and Central America, as
well as mother Spain.
We will feature a section called "Que es
eso" (what’s that) in it we will explain a
particular herb, kitchen equipment or old
artifacts that were used in the creation of
different Latin dishes and their origins.
We will also feature step-by-step recipes
and our online version will feature instructional videos as well as interviews with renowned Latin Chefs regardless of the type
of restaurant they work at.
Our main goal is to highlight the Latin flair
in all areas.
