Resumo
O artigo objetiva levantar a prática do trabalho do assistente social, em
relação ao atendimento de mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica.
Expondo como o procedimento profissional é realizado em relação à
prevenção, redução e intervenção pós agressão. A luta das mulheres pela
igualdade de gênero é histórica, trazendo seu ápice para a criação do
Dia Internacional da Mulher. A metodologia do artigo é bibliográfica. As
fontes foram retiradas de materiais já produzidos pelo serviço social e
também outras áreas do conhecimento, preferencialmente registros
nacionais sobre o apoio dado às mulheres vítimas de agressão e como o
assistente social intervém junto a essa demanda. Como resultado, esperase
qualificar a existência da rede de apoio para proteção as mulheres
vítimas de violência doméstica.

Abstract
The article aims to raise the practice of the work of the social worker, in
relation to the care of women victims of domestic violence. Exposing how
the professional procedure is performed in relation to prevention,
reduction and post-aggression intervention. Women's struggle for gender
equality is historic, bringing its culmination to the creation of International
Women's Day. The methodology of the article is bibliographic. The
sources were taken from materials already produced by the social service
and also other areas of knowledge, preferably national records on the
support given to women victims of aggression and how the social worker
intervenes with this demand. As a result, it is expected to qualify the
existence of a support network to protect women victims of domestic
violence.
