Resumo
Este artigo tem por objetivo mostrar a realidade da inclusão social,
identificando como estão as políticas sociais na área de acessibilidade
para crianças e adolescentes cadeirantes nas escolas públicas de
Santos. A exclusão da pessoa com deficiência física acontece, mesmo
com os grandes avanços através de dispositivos legais. Neste contexto,
o assistente social atua na garantia dos direitos que são assegurados
em lei. O estudo permite analisar e refletir, sobre as condições de
acessibilidade e inclusão social das crianças e adolescentes cadeirantes,
a partir da ação das políticas públicas, falta de preparo profissional e a
falta de investimento na infraestrutura. O estudo foi realizado através
de pesquisas bibliográficas e análise de dados.

Abstract
This article aims to show the reality of social inclusion, identifying how
social policies are in the area of accessibility for children and
adolescents in wheelchairs in public schools in Santos. The exclusion of
people with physical disabilities occurs, even with great advances
through legal provisions. In this context, the social worker acts to
guarantee the rights that are guaranteed by law. The study allows to
analyze and reflect on the conditions of accessibility and social inclusion
of children and adolescents in wheelchairs, based on the action of
public policies, lack of professional preparation and lack of investment
in infrastructure. The study was carried out through bibliographic
research and data analysis.
