Alive was a very important book for me , it thought me many things like how to value things in live and what to do in equal circumstances. i admire the survivors because if I was in their situation , I will be desesperate and could have died at the next day , not only because of hunger or cold , but of the agony of seeing weak people and not doing anything. After reading this book many questions came to my mind like: if I had been in that situation what would I do and how will I act? , how can I get that strength to cross the cordillera? Would I have come with the idea of eating the flesh of my family or friends?... in this moment I don’t have answers to this questions but with time I will find them. -Mariana Navarro Alive is a book that for me shows that humans don’t have limits we are the only ones that can decide until what point are we going to fight for something , or if we really want it that much?. Although the Fairchild survivors suffered a lot, still they had to make really difficult decisions that could cost their lives. What I liked the most was that humans will is stronger than anything in the world. The survivors wanted to be alive, to be with their families and they did everything and more to approach the goal. Sometimes they doubted but others didn’t. Thanks to that, 16 men survive. They didn’t survive from terrible conditions, food, cold and more but mostly they survive their own mind and thoughts, by controlling it. It changed my life because it shows me that if I want something or I have a dream I will have to fight for it, because the row is not easy it gets harder and harder until we get
