The Stylization of Past and Future
For my thesis , I created two scenes in the style of 2D illustrator , Krzysztof Maziarz . The first scene shows a Medieval building overgrown with different types of foliage . Its counterpart shows the same Medieval scene revived into a Cyberpunk hacker lair , with computers and wires overtaking the space .
My main goals for this project were to effectively replicate a 2D style and implement it in a 3D way , and to successfully convey two different time periods using their key attributes .
me the importance of rulesets and how they helped me to establish a baseline for almost everything in my thesis .
I believe my thesis could be utilized in the game industry because of how often my masteries are seen in games . Period change , overgrowth , and style matching are all vital game elements that I could bring to the industry through my experience with this project and my skillsets .
This project was beneficial to me because it allowed me to utilize my fine arts background when replicating a style . I was able to make something completely different while still maintaining the style of another artist . This project also taught
