THE REAL TRADIES OF:
BRISBANE
Trades-men and women are the backbone of Australia. They are the ones who get stuff done! So, for the following
Name: Shane Steele
Trade: Chippy
"I became a chippy because my grandfather was a builder and my family business is Atlas House Removers. So, when I become a builder, I'll not only be able to raise/restump/move houses, but also renovate and build new aswell. I believe this will give me a competitive edge to thrive in both good and bad financial times, off the back of producing quality work and a large scale of works."
Favourite part: "The active side of things as I can't sit still, or the look on client's faces when they see the job you've done, and the pride in your work."
Australia Day: "It will definitely involve my mates, a few beers, some snags, the triple j hottest 100 and a blow up pool. Other than that I'm not too fussed."
Name: Julian Harris
Trade: Plasterer
"I was given an opportunity to do some work experience and I was then offered a apprenticeship."
Favourite part: "My favourite part would be starting with a bare frame of a house or business and watching it transform into someone's home, ready for paint."
Australia Day: "I will probably be heading up bribie beach for a few drinks and BBQ with some friends."
