PTA PTA is the oldest and largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States. Smitha Middle School’ s PTA has a vibrant leadership that promotes students’ education, health, safety, nutrition, and general well-being. The Smitha community is encouraged to join and attend PTA meetings throughout the school year. Please refer to the school website for more information.
PRINCIPAL ADVISORY COUNCIL Families can serve on the Principal Advisory Council. The Principal Advisory Council is made up of the principal, two certified teachers, two parents / guardians, and two members of the business community. Council members may discuss a wide range of issues, including student achievement, the school strategic plan, curriculum and instruction, school community relations, and local school board policies. VOLUNTEERS We encourage Smitha families to volunteer at school. Please look for volunteer opportunities sent through CTLS Parent and the weekly family newsletter. All volunteers on campus are required to show picture identification for access to the building. In addition, all volunteers must wear a school volunteer sticker while in the building.
