What Does Your Smile Say About You?
"A
smile, is happiness you will find right under your nose."

Smiling is the simplest way to give a moment of joy, to everyone that you meet. When you smile, you send the
message that you are comfortable with yourself and with other people. Life is like a mirror, and you get the best
results when you smile at it. Try all of your smiles in front of that mirror, and you will be able to see what your
smile says about you!
So, first of all, there is the inviting smile, which -combined with a direct eye contact- is an invitation to conversation. As young girls and boys are sometimes insecure and shy, they won't approach you to introduce themselves,
unless they see this warm, inviting smile on your face. Use it, and get ready to flash them!
From the other hand, the shy smile may mean that you need encouragement, so it can be a way for you to attract
new friends. If you are shy, then your close-mouthed smile with upturned corners, will attract the "inviting
smiles" of your future friends. After all, most smiles start by another smile.
The confident smile, is the one that you use when you talk with your teacher s, or when you take an exam.
This is a smile that you can try out in your mirror, at home. Sometimes if you look confident about yourself, you
"gain points". But be careful of that fake smile: if you use it a lot, you may turn out to be a politician!
Above all, remember that a fake smile (when you smile with your mouth, but not with your eyes) is regarded
with suspicion, and makes people back off. A genuine smile is one of the best ways of winning friends, as it says
that you are a warm and approachable person. This is the smile, where the skin around your eyes bunches up.
People smile for different reasons: fear, embarrassment, confusion, happiness etc. and their eyes always give
them away. You see, the muscles around the eyes can't be forced to look happy, so when people smile for real,
their cheeks rise and the skin around their eyes bunches up. If the smile doesn't reach the eyes, then it is an empty
smile.
Sometimes, forcing yourself to smile, can actually make you happier. This is the sad smile, with the uplifting of
your mouth corners. The sad smile is the reflection of your feelings and a cry for help. It says: "Ask me what is
wrong and make me feel better".
To conclude, your best smile is the laughing smile; the smile of the existence, the spotlight that shines on your
heart, the one that can brighten the darkest day! This is your deepest heartfelt smile, that is accompanied by a
chuckle. It is the sign of a happy and easy going person. So, wear a smile - one size fits all!
