• Check how efficient and qualified their technicians are. Selecting a protection
plan is a great choice, but you need to ensure that the company you are going
to select has high-trained, licensed technicians. It is also a good idea to select
a company with a large number of technicians because this ensures that you
do not have to wait if you have a plumbing or heating and cooling problem.
• Be very clear about what will be and what will not be covered under the
protection plan. You may be under the impression that the technician will
arrive and replace everything under the cover but that is not always the case.
Many heating protection plans may not cover parts such as furnace filters,
circulating pumps, heating sections, heating coils, heat exchanger, humidifiers,
zone valves, and more. Do not just assume that everything is covered and be
sure to ask the service provider any question you might have.
