Visit the Cave:
Cave of the Mounds is open year round and is a consistent 50
degrees regardless of the season – so dress appropriately! Tours
leave frequently (between every 20 minutes and once per hour
depending on the season, twice per day during the week in
winter); expect to spend about an hour in the cave and walk 2/3
of a mile.
As of this writing, the cost is
• $16.95 for adults,
• $8.50 for children 4-12,
• FREE for those 3 and under,
• or upgrade to a year-long membership (unlimited cave
tours) for $5.99 more.
The cave is located just off Highway 18/151, five miles west of
Mount Horeb.
