February 1-5th is GO GREEN WEEK at LPS! In an effort to raise awareness and support our environment, Litchfield High School’s FBLA will be hosting a GREEN WEEK! During this week, we will be running a toy & game recycling campaign. This would be a great time to get rid of the old to make way for the new that came with the holiday season! Donations will be given to an area homeless shelter to provide to families with children and no money for extras like these. Please send your gently used toys and games to school with your child anytime during this week to be added to our donation boxes. Students in grades PK-8 will be invited to complete a coloring contest entry and make a pledge to develop better, more environmentally-friendly habits during this week as well, and posters will be displayed around the school and community noting environmentally-friendly habits and facts. On Thursday, February 4th, we would like to invite students and faculty of LPS to wear green to show their support for “Color Earth Green Day.” After school, FBLA members will be picking up trash around Litchfield; the public is invited to join us as we clean up our community.
