Mrs. May is the 7-12 science
teacher at Litchfield Public school.
Her favorite color is Kelly Green.
Mrs. May likes teaching science
because she likes interacting with
the kids and sparking an interest in
science in them. This is so they can
relate it to their everyday life.
She went to high school in
Holdrege and went to UNK and she
got her undergraduate/masters.
Mrs. May also taught at UNK
before teaching at Litchfield. She
likes teaching at Litchfield because
it is small and she gets to build
relationships with her students and
watch them grow for seven years into young adults.

National Adoption Day
By : Marrisa Zentz
On this special day the courts come together to finalize the
adoption of children. There are over 300 events hosted
each year for adoption day. National adoption day was
started in 2000, by a coalition of national partners that
include Alliance for children’s rights and Children’s action
network. There are also many more. In 2011 National
adoption day was celebrated throughout the United States.
More than 40,000 children have been adopted on National
Adoption Day from foster care. In tradition National
Adoption Day is celebrated on the Saturday before
Thanksgiving.
