Litchfield FBLA Qualifies Duo For Nationals The Litchfield FBLA Chapter competed at the Nebraska State Convention on April 4-6 in Omaha. Nine students in grades 8 -11 participated in the 3 day conference. Over 4000 students attend the conference competing in over 70 events, all competing for a spot at the National Convention. All students compete on the same level with no different classification of small schools from large schools. The Litchfield Chapter received the Sweepstakes Award for the 18 th consecutive year. This is a difficult award to receive as there are 10 requirements to receiving it. Only 25 of 294 chapters received this award this year. Other ribbons and awards received by the chapter were the Golden Round Table award for re-activating the Middle Level Chapter and in- creasing membership by more than 7 members, several community service awards including ones for trash pick-up, com- munity food drive, and the elementary reading buddies program. Students attending this years’ conference were: Brandi Slocum, Katherine Paitz and Kaylee Rohde. These 3 girls competed in the Middle Level Division. High school students that attended were: Faith Heapy, Kaylee Rosentreater, Chloe Ellison, Calvin Finley, Caden Holm, and Rilee Howard.
