Superintendent’s Report tion. Kratzer began working at Litchfield when her young- est daughter started kindergarten. It was a great way to work with children and still be able to attend her own chil- dren's activities. Since she went to such a large school as a child, she was looking forward to her children attending a smaller school where they could be involved in a variety of activities. What she likes most about teaching in Litchfield is that it is like a big family. She said, “We work together be- tween all the grade levels and there is always someone will- ing to help if you need it.” The students are fun to teach and they always keep her on her toes. This is Kratzer’s first year of teaching Kindergarten at Litchfield Public School, and she is really enjoying her stu- dents. As for a favorite color, she doesn't really have one. She enjoys all of the colors because life would be boring March Madness By Siarah Willenberg March Madness is a single elimination tournament that features 68 men’s NCAA basketball teams working hard to be crowned national champions. Selection Sunday will take place on March 11 this year, when the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee reveals which teams have made the field for the tournament. This tournament first took place in 1939. UCLA has the most national titles with 11, followed by Kentucky with 8 wins, and then North Carolina with 6. Congratulations to the Lady Spartan Basketball Team for qualifying for State! This is a great event to just have fun picking teams to win, until you get to the final round, where you hopefully choose that one team to be crowned national champions.
