The high school choir sang the American Celebration and On Veteran’s Day. John
Zimmer presented his essay on Why My Vote Matters. The program proceeded with the
5th and 6th graders showing a pre-interview with Veteran Mr. Miguel Vega, Rebecca
Vega’s husband about his war experience.
The program ended with K-2nd graders in a pre-recorded video about being thankful for
our Veterans before introducing the Veterans in attendance at the program. All videos
showed during the program can be viewed on You Tube accessible through the Litchfield
school website at https://www.litchfieldpublicschools.org/
Other notables of the event was the Wall of Honor that was created by the 5th & 6th grade
as you entered the gymnasium of all the family war heroes and Veterans. A picture is
included below of this.
A special thanks to Heather Paitz for accompanying the singing groups and the staff at
Litchfield for organizing and planning the Veterans Day Program.
