Spartan Track Season Underway District FFA Champions in
The 2019 track season started February 25 th , although
someone forgot to inform Mother Nature. The cold
and wet weather has prevented the team from prac-
ticing outdoors and the ability to work on field events.
Forty kids between Ansley and Litchfield are out for
track. We have 11 girls and 29 boys on each squad.
Head coaches for each team are Lynette Finley of Li-
tchfield for girls and Ryan Mosier of Ansley for boys.
Assistants are Cody Franzen, Troy Schirmer, and Dan
Moore. The boys team returns many state qualifiers
and placers led by seniors Christopher Paitz and Justin
Bailey. All coaches have high expectations for the
team as the season progresses and are hoping to re-
turn many state qualifiers in hopes of contending for
the state track title. Diesel Mechanics.
The girls team does not have big numbers and are a
very young team. The girl’s squad has one returning
senior and state qualifier, Falan Ryan. One goal for
the girls is to see improvement as the year progresses
and continue to grow with our participation.
The first indoor meet at UNK was canceled due to
weather. The Loup City/Arcadia meet that was origi-
nally scheduled for March 21 st has been rescheduled
for April 8 th . The next meet, which will be the first
outdoor meet, will be the Pleasanton Invite at
Ravenna on March 29 th .
