FBLA Attends State Leadership Conference in Omaha

FBLA kicked off their weekend of fun at State Leadership Conference in
Omaha, NE, on April 6th. They had an open session where the state
representatives spoke and also guest speaker Hoan Do. He has
competed on American Ninja warrior and is a student success coach. Then, many members
of the Litchfield Chapter of FBLA had to take tests covering business concepts and skills.
On Friday, there was another general session where honorable mentions were given to
those who had high scores in their tests or events. Tyren Howard and Joseph Ptacnik were
granted an Honorable Mention award for their American Enterprise Day Project, which was
comprised of a 15-page report detailing what FBLA accomplished on American Enterprise
Day this year.
After the general sessions, students were encouraged to go to the dance.
The final event of the conference was the Awards Ceremony on Saturday morning, where
awards were given for those going on to Nationals (top three) and the top eight placings of each events. Joseph Ptacnik
and Tyren Howard received 6th place for their e-business project where they had to create a website. Litchfield Chapter
of FBLA also received the Sweepstakes Award for the 22 nd year, Golden Round Table Award for the creation of their
Middle-Level Chapter, Go Green Award, Step Up to Tech Award, March of Dimes Award, Feed Nebraska Award, 7Up
Award, Foundation Donor recognition, iGive award, and Connect to Business award.
At the National level, Litchfield’s Chapter received the Diamond Chapter, Super Sweeps, Nonstop November, Action
Awareness, Chapter Challenge, and the Outstanding Chapter Awards.
The FBLA group would like to thank everybody who supported them throughout this year to make it another success!
