The faculty members of SLS were in the forefront for organizing a number of events. They also
participated in a number of national and international conferences.
The students of the School of Liberal Studies (SLS) continued their excellent work in the field of
research and presented a number of papers at national and international conferences. Ten students
presented research papers out of which nine papers were presented in national conferences and one
paper at an international conference.
SLS was the subject of media attention this month as well. The coverage was mostly done by
Ahmedabad Times, Gandhinagar Samachar, The Times of India, Ahmedabad Mirror and Financial
Express. The most notable coverage was by Doordarshan Girnar where Dr. Ashish Joshi from the
Department of Business Administration and Commerce appeared for a live telephonic programme on
Career Counselling.
I sincerely want to thank all the faculty members of SLS, PDPU for their contribution in this
newsletter. I also want to thank the two members of the designing team Niti Samani and Hiran
Madiya for their complex work in designing the newsletter. Last but not the least, I want to put my
sincere gratitude to Prof. Nigam Dave and Prof. Pradeep Mallik for their continuous motivation and
support for developing this newsletter.
