THE RULES
The weight of the skeleton must not go beyond 43kg for men and 35 kg for women. the
combined maximum weight of the sled, athlete and equipment is 115kg for man and 92 kg for
women. since the law physics say that the heavier the weight of the sled, the faster you go,
loads may be add4ed to the sled while still following the rules . but loads may not be added to
the athletes
competitors wait 30sec before going down the track
no one is allowed to push the competitors for extra speed that will change the speed
Equipment
There is no brakes competitors that try to stop in the course will be disquified competitors will
stop at the end at with they're feet .
Sleds have front and rear bumpers to absorb shock and to protect competitors from walls.
Sleds look like a skeketon and that is why the name is skeleton.
Gloves are made from leather, and worn for protection.
Handles on the skeleton sleds are for statring off and are coverd in soft material.
Every competitor must wear a helmate.
The suit are tight fit and have paddings on the elbows.
Shoes are from synthetic material and have spikes on them for traction.
SLEDS
The sled is made of two runners. The frame must be constructed of steel. The same sled must
be used in all the heats of the competition. It may weigh no more than 43kg for men and 35kg
for women.
Jons interview
We asked Jon a few questions for the interview and one of them was are you thinking to
participate in the 2014 Olympics, and he said "we will see if I qualify " but when he did not
make it this is what he said "I'm done. As a competitive athlete , this is the end of the road for
me " Montgomery said in a telephone interview with the Canadian Press on Tuesday , before
adding:"I would say 99% cent of me is certainly done ".
We asked him “how do you feel that you did not qualify
but won gold in 2010”
"I felt like a big impruvment, and the best part was wen I drinker that big giant glass of beer that
