Interview with Marco When did you start doing some serious physical training? I always used to do a lot of sports and especially football. Actually I spent a significant part of my childhood at the soccer court. Besides that I started going to the gym when I was 16. We had a gym at our school, but it wasn´t quite serious back then. My actual serious and more structured training started with 18 when I moved to Munich to study and signed up for a gym here. Ater training there for a couple of weeks / months a staff member of the gym and now friend of mine approached me because he saw me training regularly and wanted to show me the basics of training and nutrition. That´s what he did then and it was a game changer for me. So to answer your question: I started my serious physical training at the age of 18. Is there any type of food do you eat to keep fit? Or is this really important that one has to follow a strict diet? I love just eating healthy in general and I like every food. Each and every time I eat I enjoy my meal with the mouth and the brain. For me both parts of me are eating and my mouth is pretty easily satisfied and happy with everything it gets. That´s why it doesn't make sense to me to eat at McDonalds because my brain won´t be able to enjoy the meal and not even my mouth because it starts to get pretty sensitive on fatty stuff. I'd go for broccoli and chicken as well as every other kind of healthy food. To keep fit I try to eat balanced-diet and make sure to eat a variety of vegetables and food rich in protein. I love carrots, broccoli, sweet potatoes, salad, fish and harz cheese (though everyone else hates this cheese). Furthermore hormones are very fascinating and I like improving my eating habits and do training to keep hormones in balance. I started serious physical training at the age of 18. What Kind of Sports do you do aside from your Fitness Training? During summer I do not go to the gym that oten. I´ll do my outdoor-workout in the sun needing a pull-up-bar, some space for handstand, a heavy stone or so, and ideally some bars for dips. For leg-day I´ll do sprints, what´s just an awesome cardio workout too! As another leg-day-alternative I go hiking with my dogs. During summer swimming is a great alternative whole body workout too. I´ll just go to the gym if I miss the heavy bars too much. I just love making my body and mind more capable in a more holistic kind of way besides looking good. Sleeves Magazine
