as well as for me , for whom this was only my second conference . The chairs were extremely friendly , and had a sense of humor , especially the deputy chair . Although it was nerve-racking at first , I decided to muster all my courage and start raising my placard over and over again . I presented my speech one after another , being a role model for everyone in the conference room to do the
same . I opened myself to any and all questions after each speech , and generally smoothly answered most of them . Not long after , I found myself presenting rebuttals , speeches , and points of information consecutively . I even accomplished being the main submitter of my blocks resolution , which passed in the house ! After all , the Most Outstanding Delegate award was not too far away .
Day 2 ( Saturday , March 2 , 2024 )
We returned to Wellington College the next day to finish and conclude our conferences . A total of three resolutions passed in our committee , with one that unfortunately did not . I was so proud that mine passed ! Later on , in the evening of that day , all of the countless delegates from the committees gathered at the auditorium to receive notice of the winners of WCISMUN II . The first winners to be announced were those of my committee ; my heart skipped a beat when the chair announced that the winner of the Most Outstanding Delegate award was Mirei Yo . Everything was a blur when I ran up to the stage it felt so strange to be chosen among the 53 people in my committee , but I felt so proud of myself .
