Are Cell Phone Free Schools The Way To Go ? Heck No !

A a sword . Phones are a vital part of a student ’ s life . While many may wonder why students are so attached to their phones , it is merely because the world has evolved so much that we must rely heavily on our devices .
An example of our dependence on our phones is when we send our health checks in the morning , and enter the school with a QR code . Without our phones , we would need to produce papers that are inconvenient to get . Other examples include needing our phones to check the weather to decide on how to dress .
Despite this , I still feel that my phone is a very tempting distraction when I want a break . Because apps are designed to be addictive , it helps to take our minds off our problems . Hence , once I start using my phone , I begin to relax and consequently , lose track of time and end up wasting a whole afternoon .
While it may seem sensible to ban phones from school , most students I talked to were not on board with this solution . 8th grader Tanuj Kamleshbhai Padaliya argued that his phone helped him become more efficient and organized since he could use it to make lists of what he needed to do . Without his phone , he would lose his workflow and the ability to stay on track .
Although cell phones are crucial in our lives , they , unfortunately , can have negative effects . Besides a lack of real-life communication and eyestrain , excessive phone usage could also cause a dip in grades .
Some kids use their phones for a quick hit of social media between classes . According to Debate . org , studies showed that if we tried to forget about social media , we could only forget about it after 5 minutes . Yet , since most of us don ’ t attempt to forget about it , we would not be focused during class , resulting in deteriorating grades ,
Although phones might harmfully affect us , we should not ban them . They can be good or bad influences , so we should focus on learning how to use them responsibly .
