to be heard but in a school it is the student council.
It is a very interesting organization dedicated to

has now elected its own student council and now
depends on them to help there students have a better
life at school. represent their voice. At SLAS the winners for
president and vice president were Jae Park and Annie
Liu. Their competitors fought valiantly but in the end
Jae and Annie were the last ones standing.Resulted
in them leading students speaking for them, and also
organizing fun events for them. Events include
haunted houses, booths for lunch sales, and dances
such as prom.

said, “I want students to enjoy their school through
better food, we will have more variety of snacks. Also
I want the students voice to be hear.” Newly elected vice president Annie Liu said, “I will
listen to students ideas of changes and take action
on perusing them.” As we all know changes takes time
so we should give our new leaders the benefit of the
doubt and exercise patience.
The election process is very intriguing. It started with
a single announcement and a sign up sheet for
potential candidatesto register for the election. Then
came days of preparation forspeeches. After that it
was time to show their hard work through speeches,
slogans, and a campaign. This will tell the students
the reasons that they should vote for them.
Candidates make promises and commitments that
they will implement to make school life better. Next
students elect their leaders and their speakers to
