A unique biotech hub in the Middle East, established in 2005 by entrepreneur Penelope Shihab. MonoJo was an idea that was translated into a unique SME in Jordan. Today we will recite the success story of MonoJo.

In 2005, Penelope Shihab decided to develop a biotechnology company in Jordan, to increase Jordan’s competitiveness in research using Jordan’s skilled man power. With the help of The Higher Council for Science and Technology and after meeting several Jordanian scientists in the biotech field, it was decided to start the project as a company specialized in developing and producing monoclonal anti-bodies. A highly motivated, determined, and self-confident scientist, Penelope Shihab, started leading and running the newly established research hub.
